The concept of this home we used two rustic ranch gable forms then contrasted it with a refined shed form. The character of the gable forms has a rustic shake roof, vertical barn board siding, exposed timbers, and headers. The shed form is juxtaposed with the smooth horizontal siding wrapping the exterior corners, no trim around the windows, smooth metal roofing. The horizontal siding continues inside the house and provides warmth to the interiors.
